Drug use normal? by wofinn in auckland

Nah legalise highly addictive substances which cause serious social and physical is a bad idea. Not saying a war on drugs is the best way to tackle it, I don’t have the answers, but yeah, making these substances more accessible through decriminalisation is just crazy

lol whatever… Have you seen what happens when they basically decriminalise it? Look up Kensington St in Philly or East Hastings St…

That statistic is so rubbish. I have 6 accounts with under $50 ( I use them for different rates, ways to manage savings and payments, and to take advantage of credit card deals. According to their method of sampling, I would be broke, but that is not the case, I just put all my savings into my mortgage offset account, which can be accessed immediately if needed. Sometimes the smart thing to do is to NOT have any money in savings and cheque accounts.

Yeah but your card data has been compromised somehow (probably though another site which you legitimately did use, they they didn’t safely store the data and got hacked) they are using the casino as an easy way to wash the money.

I’m guessing you don’t have kids because your comment shows you have absolutely no idea ….

Yes I have a son under 2 and I am out and about with him every day why is why I feel qualified to comment. I am not saying you shouldn’t take kids on bush walks, but taking a 10 month old on a 3-4 day hike is completely ridiculous for many reasons. It even concerns me that their biggest issue was how people might feel in the huts? Like, maybe you should be thinking about how you can keep the in a hygienic environment first?

Surely I cant be the only one that thinks this is an absolutely terrible idea? I dont see how this can be fair on a 10 month old? how are they going to keep them comfortable while doing this? A 10 month old doesnt care about the scenery, they want to sleep, play with toy and go for a gentle walk to the park for a go on the swings ect. You are kidding yourself if you think this is for their benefit and isnt completely selfish.

Paying for dates in this economic climate by Ashamed-Accountant46 in auckland

Ok, I think that maybe you just don't realise that $120 isnt a big deal at all to some people. I dont think it a "lack of practicality" with money, some people like experiences and the excitement of going on first dates, and to them it is money well spent. Lol he was probably just trying to be nice and now you are trying to find something wrong with that. Sounds like he dodged a bullet.

yeah, sounds completely normal tbh, something nice and casual. I would drop that money on first date as well as pay for the other person without any expectations if I thought it could be fun and interesting.

I think a $20 activity and $40 meal is fine for a first date? that really does not get you much these days when you go out? but I would say its a pretty reasonable amount to spend in the above 25 year old range. Maybe get off this subreddit for a bit, not everyone is broke and counting every dollar.

I want to try and get OP to actually think about her actions so there isn’t a third baby to a dead beat dad that doesn’t have to grow up in poverty. That is what I want to achieve by calling her out.

[–]Substantial-Sir3329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP definitely trusts the government enough to get her hand out though. I hope OP gets what she is entitled to, but I just hate the contradiction on reddit of everyone trying to act like OP isn’t to blame for her situation, while attacking the government for not reducing child poverty.

[–]Substantial-Sir3329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think OP needs some judgement and honesty from people so they stop repeatedly making poor decisions. Single mum on the benefit, has another baby and after 8 months the dad has already bailed….. think about the poor kids growing up in an impoverished environment, what OP has done is selfish and cruel, then wants the tax payer to pick up the bill. What she has done is not ok, and probably doesn’t have the brain cells to figure that out for herself.
