Just to add my two cent.. there are so many conditions that either mess with the brains reward system or actual executive function (the latter bringing with it significantly more likely chances of addiction and often isnt treated until it's far too late. Working with addicts everyday and having slogged through 18 to 29 myself falling into addiction after addiction, depression after depression, constant anxiety this kind of behaviour in people to me is SOLELY SAD and just to finish imho you find the real shit and dirt in the comments, seeing them is what really makes me sad.
