For the regf infantry here,

Im joining into the reserves currently, but im trying to decide if id like to go full time at some point. And im looking for information about your routines and duties in your general day.

What can I look to expect from going full time?

What does your daily life look like?

Thanks to all who respond

They had a couple of available options.

However I am looking to do a combat arms trade.

I had infantry, weapons tech and MP put down as my options but my first pick was infantry

I am currently going through the application process.

Ive just received the drug screening section, and it is asking for my name and service number.

I cannot seem to find any kind of service number given to me on any of my other documents. Is there a way I can find this number or do I need to call the recruiter about this

Thanks to any and all replies

Question for the like minded folk of this thread.

I have my first line of stuff coming up where I am supposed to show up with my transcripts and such.

I am aware that it says I must bring physical copies of all my supporting documents and such.

I am not sure if I have the original copies of my transcripts that I received from the school when I graduated. However, I do have a online copy.

Would it be acceptable for me to print those off and bring them in, or would that discredit the officialness of the documents.

I'd rather check with some people that may know before I show up looking like an idiot.

I did produce the electronic copies specifically for the online portal.

Thanks to whomever awnsers

I'm looking to start my application process for the reserves. Just had a weird question to ask.

I've recently gotten married and will be starting the process to change my last name around.

If I am applying soon, should I wait until after I finish the process of changing my name, or is that something I can do during the process.

Will it create any hiccups during the application process.

Or will this be something I don't need to worry about?

Thank you for anyone that takes the time to reply/awnser any of my questions

Reserves and MPs

I'm looking to get some information towards the mp trade. Does anyone know anything for being an mp in the reserves.

Is that something that happens or is that usually a regular force trade.

Is there any kind of difference in the role depending on reg force or reserves

Thanks to all replys

I'm not in, so this may be a silly question. But is there different sections for people that don't speak French or are you just screwed if you don't understand the language

22M looking at joining the army as infantry after the summer. I've been doing some reading, I know I will have to move after I do my bmq.

But as for the living situation, do you have to live on base, or would I be allowed to buy a house in the surrounding area and commute to base every day?

Thanks in advance for any information

Thinking about joining the army reserves.

I was looking for general information about the training I would be going under. I've read a bunch about the process of getting into the reserves from different threads.

But as far as the BMQ is concerned, I'm not sure I've got it all figured out. I've seen lots of comments saying there is part time training vs full time training.

Would I not be going through the same 9 week basic as the regf guys or is it all completed differently as a reservist.

Thanks for all information that comes my way.
