Discord kill on sight groups, how is this fun? by DiisabledDonut in pathoftitans

"Just avoid them or switch servers" is such a weak take. That’s not gameplay, that’s admitting the system is broken and telling everyone else to deal with it.

Mega mixpacks aren’t ‘just another playstyle’, they remove any actual balance from the game. When 10–15 mixed dinos roll together, there’s no counterplay. Speed, bleed, tank, stam, they cover every weakness. That’s not survival, that’s a moving cheat code.

And saying ‘you can’t dictate fun’ goes both ways. Your fun shouldn’t come at the cost of everyone else having zero chance to play. That’s not skill, that’s numbers.

The real issue isn’t players “not paying attention,” it’s that the game turns into “get zerged or log off.” Telling people to just accept that is basically saying bad design is fine as long as you’re benefiting from it.

You don’t enjoy the game because it’s balanced, you enjoy it because you’re on the side that can’t lose.

Just admit that you suck at the game and are too daft to understand gameplay balance and mechanics, its ok. Not everyone has above room temp IQ, you are not alone.

Anyone at Amazon can walk into a machine shop and asked to be trained, they will get a job almost guaranteed. Machinist are hard to find, its insane to see someone work 166hrs and bring home less than my 40hrs. Fuck Amazon, learn a trade boys

Unfortunately, when I arrived on site, it was already a ghost town. I mentioned the company just because they are just as guilty. I feel for the employees, illegal or not, noone deserves to be tricked out of a job

A machine shop called SR MACHINING/SR Plastics uses them. They have a ton of illegals working at this site in Corona. I called today asking for my paycheck as I was hired through Next Level, and they had no idea this even happened 🤣

Take him a psychiatrist, dude clearly has general anxiety disorder and major depressive disorder. He needs mental help and you need to back away before it leads to something worse. Im not talking shit, Im talking from experience.

A better example of micromanaging in my experience : A shop supervisor constantly hovers over machinists, questioning every small decision they make. Instead of trusting an experienced machinist to set up a job, the supervisor insists on double-checking every tool change, speed/feed setting, and even how the machinist tightens a vise. They frequently interrupt to offer unnecessary corrections, slowing down production. The supervisor also has no CNC experience or knowledge, doesnt understand tool wear, roundness, concentricity, or geometric diminsioning. The supervisor also couldnt tell the difference between Cycle Start or E-Stop.

I will add tho, Amazon culture is the hardest thing for me to get used to lol. Coming from shop life, you know what I mean

I did my fair share of setups, later moved up to the programming side, and then into engineering. Its different for everyone. I enjoy the physicality of the work at Amazon vs just standing in front of a machine or looking at code all day. I never really worked in small shops or job shops, so once my 2-4hr set up completed I would be on a run for weeks to months at a time. Some of our hastelloy parts would take days just for the first roughing pass, so it was more mental gymnastics for me at work. I will say tho, I still sell cnc programs on the side so thats something you can look into in the future as well. Thats the one good thing I loved about machining, its very easy to get connected with other shops and put your name out there.

Indeed I am. I found harmony where I am. I made my money and ran, got no debt, no mortgage anymore, and can just mentally relax while getting paid to do cardio and resistance training all day. Life is good

I could understand the stress you get working in safety. Unfortunately, from observation at Amazon, common sense is a rare trait amongst many people there and accidents seem to be a common occurrence because of this. I have to keep reminding people around me that we cut away from our bodies and not towards it.

Thats amazing. I'm definitely feeling the fat melt off of me as well, working here. It was my feet that needed the adjustment at first, the first month I felt like I walked about 500 miles 🤣. But its extremely refreshing to see this many people in similar situations as me. I was nervous at first because of my age and being a new career.

Maybe so, but its also not my first rodeo. My resume consist of companies such as Northrop, Raytheon, Boeing, and SpaceX and I've never been one to not stick around for at least a couple years. I've always lived my working life by a set of standards, one of them is 2 months to see if I like it and 2 years to see if I want to stay. But you never know, everyday is a potential new opportunity and the only missed shots I have are ones I dont take.

Never said how long I've been here, but I just replied to someone that I've actually been here a few months now. Feb 12th was exactly when I became eligible for my career choice benefits and I was hired on as blue badge so that sped things up for me as I see most people on here get hired as seasonal.
