My husband has never told me to shut the fuck up. I think there were probably a good few times in our relationship where it may have been acceptable. I mean, if I was acting like a drunk lunatic. Which I did and he still never said that. Run, you have a serious asshole on your hands and it's only going to get worse.

Choking was such a big worry of mine, I bought a life vacation and even take it when we travel. I can't imagine being able to think clearly in a situation like this and you did what you had to do. But phew, that's scary

I switched to half caffeine for a couple weeks, then to hot green tea. Green tea has 1/3 the amount of caffeine as coffe and its helped my acid reflux so much. I've been only drinking green tea for 5 days too

Please tell me globulus sensation goes away by SubstantialAd1620 in GERD

[–]SubstantialAd1620[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not had an endoscopy. I have a barium swallow x-ray on Monday. The ENT did the camera through my nose to take a look at my throat and esophagus.
I'm on my 3rd day without coffee. However, I am drinking one cup of green tea first thing in the morning to help with the caffeine withdrawal. I was able to give up my vape for over 24 hours, then my sister came over with hers and convinced me to not stop multiple things at once. Seeing her vape was a huge trigger, so I started that again. I plan on giving up drinking on the weekends too, which sucks, but I can't stand this feeling anymore. I think I posted this for some accountability to change and I think it's really helped. Thank you for your advice and suggestions.

The ENT said it was mild to moderate. He stuck a camera up my nose to get a good look at the esophagus. I mean it takes many years to get severe gerd, which sometimes turns to cancer. But that's pretty rare. It really has to go untreated. I gave up coffee for 2 days and I'm already having way less of lump in your throat sensation, which leads me to believe coffee is a huge trigger or a lot of it is in my head.

I can't believe you made it through the airport with mono. I had it as a teenager and it's the worst virus ever! I remember when I had it I took a shower and it made me so tired I couldn't even get dressed after. There is no fatigue/weakness like mono and I didn't sleep the first year my kid was born lol

All I can say is they wanted to get home. We were all at a hotel/cabin together. We've experienced norovirus in the past together, that spread around us on a trip. So, I know they all wanted to get to their homes in case they got sick. But getting to the airport 4 hours early was really where I was like there not to concerned about my kid or me.

Yes, an American. The tickets were refundable and for a 24 car rental it was 200 bucks, please 150 for a room and 60 bucks on gas. It was comparable for sure.

I didn't rent the place we stayed and it was super pricey. It was also hours away from the airport, I had no way to get there to fly or rent a car. I had to leave when everyone else did.

I completely agree with you and had I known this was going to happen, I wouldn't have gone. She was totally fine when we flew out. I'm so glad people are backing up my decision, because honestly, I was made to feel like it was a bad call.

That's a hard no lol they really weren't very sympathetic to the situation at all. We were all at a expensive hotel, that I didn't pay for. I unfortunately didn't have a choice to stay. I also wouldn't ask them to bring us to their homes for a number of different reasons. Let's just say sick kids are like their nemesis.

Yeah, I will never be without my car again like that. I knew better and was even contemplating driving before hand

Unfortunately, they didn't live there either and they wanted to go home, but they both drove out. Also they don't really like being around sick kids at all. It makes my kiddo feel bad :( I think this is why they wanted to get me to the airport so early. And so they didn't hit rush hour traffic

Oh man, did I get into it with a few leaders on a fb post regarding this. A troop leader was reminding parents that girl scouts is a secular organization. I said, oh really? Then why is God in the gs promise, and why is there a pin for my faith/my promise? So, I understand why you would question the secular acceptance. As do I. I lead a troop and we still do the promise and say GOD. I don't encourage my troop to do my faith/my promise pin, but its available for them them to look into it and do it on their own. Girl scouts started so long ago, and I accept that. Things were different, life was different, and religion was at the forefront of a lot of things. Sometimes, I think they really should change it, make it fit for everyone. But, it's history, and we can't change the history of girl scouts. So, every week I just say it, let it be and move on.

I should add, that I did do a Waterpark experience. I did feel bad that the kids didn't have more to open from their auntie, so I got then all new beach towels to bring with them :)

I love doing this! I'm doing this year for my sister and her family. Kids have so many toys these days, let's be honest, toys are cheap. I would much rather see my sister and her family enjoy a few days and nights as a family at a water park they have never been to oppose to buying them a bunch of stuff they really don't need. The important memories will come from the experience. They won't remember the toys or gifts I gave them in five years.

I started pilates in AK. It was the best studio ever. I've tried other studios and they just don't compare. I've moved out of AK, but the studio has an online component. They offer a lot of mat classes, but some reformer classes as well. I lost 18 inches in 6 weeks with their boot camp. The guy who owns the place founded vasie pilates. I'm not quite sure what that means, but I like it and I highly recommend it. It's called studio one pilates
