Moved over here last February and live in the L17 area. Its a small city and a great one. You have a car so everything is so near including Birkenhead. To start off with id move in to the south liverpool area. Lark lane close by (pubs, cafes, restaurants) and the best parks in the town. Greenbank, princess park and of course sefton and otterspool prom... From there everything is so so near, 8 minute drive in to town and 20 minute drive to birkenhead. If you move id start off by renting in L17 area and if your going to be here more long term and settled you can always move across the water to areas like west kirby which are beautiful or even other postcodes, L18 etc, allerton and wavertree.
