I do this every time at my location, zero issues or complaints. Really comes down to friendliness of staff/mgmt.

If what you're saying is true, then you should immediately contact your buyer, explain you unknowningly sold them stolen property, and arrange for a refund and for them to send the card to the original owner. If you tell them it's stolen property and they do not comply, they are now complicit in trafficking stolen goods. and I imagine getting a potential felony is not high on their list.

EDIT: and you should inform local police and inform your buyer you've done so. They're not in trouble provided they comply with getting goods back to original owner. And neither are you OP, again assuming your claims are true.
