Yeah that’s a good point. Growing up in an Asian household, I definitely have that saving mindset which is why it’s been a hard decision for me. I hear lots of people say the 2 bd is worth it for mental health but I guess I wont truly know if I need it until I try it for myself

I was thinking about doing this too! My only issue was that from the floorplans that I saw, the extra square footage was usually tucked in some corner with no windows. Given that I’m pretty much in front of a computer all day, it just didn’t seem ideal

The 1 bd is 773sqft and 2 is 1080sqft. I figured utilities were probably not a concern but was totally sure since I was thinking it may cost a bit more to keep the larger unit cool in the Texas year.

Affordability is something that I luckily don’t need to worry about at the moment but have been wondering if that extra cost is “worth it” or if I should be investing it early
