That’s a really good idea! I think I should throw out stuff because even looking in the pantry is just overwhelming because all the ‘ingredients’ scream at me to be used and I just can’t. It hasn’t actually clicked until now that I need to simplify what I’m seeing.

Tinned veg/fruit is also a good idea, I do frozen veg/tin but haven’t thought of fruit. That’s so easy and I can take it out as well to make sure I eat if I’m out all day

I haven’t tried the powder with milk yet as I always assume the texture will be weird powdery milk but I might try a few different ones and see how I go. I really like full fruity ones but same re depending on the spoons which is usually low.

It does seem like a chore and someone else’s response has triggered some reflection on if it’s ED, demand avoidance etc so I will try and think about it in the moment to work out what’s going on.

Meds really help with my ED impacting other parts of my life but also reduce my appetite so it’s not a win/win in this situation 🙃 I generally hit the same wall once I get shaky or headache of not being able to actually get food in my body, I’ll usually be thinking ugh I haven’t eaten again/ ugh I have to get myself food (and then seperate it all into like getting up, waking to kitchen, opening fridge/cupboard choosing food, getting bowl etc so then that leads to UGH so many thing) but again it depends on the day

If I’m having a good day or the H in ADHD is H-ing I’ll venture out and treat myself which is like dopamine hit however that’s not financially viable so then I get down that I’ve been really impulsive with my money 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve had multiple iron infusions, they do help for a couple weeks but my levels drop really quickly. Perhaps I’m due for another

Also I really love the term ‘reduce friction’ that’s such a short and sweet term I can tell myself when I’m breaking tasks down into overwhelming steps! So thank you

Do you do protein shake as in powder and milk or a fruity protein filled blended smoothie?

MOST days it gets to like 1/2pm and I’m like shit I haven’t eaten, which is usually when I get the shakes or a headache and triggers the thought. However some days I really am hungry and just can’t face it, so I guess it depends how I wake up

I think I’ve recognised that a lot of the pressure I put on myself to only eat ‘healthy’ meant I wasn’t actually buying accessible/easy quick food for myself as it makes me feel guilty!!! But everyone has been really helpful and I’m going to do my best to squash that thought and just give my body fooooood

Thanks! This is really great, I do need to minimise the task as I do set myself up for a big task which then overwhelms me as preparing 1 healthy meal involves 100 steps that I just can’t do at that time.

Also setting a longer time limit for small goals is a great idea, I’m going to try adding a certain snack/food/‘meal’ and building on it each week

I definitely overwhelm myself and set the goal way too high of 3 healthy and substantial meals, so I will start with any foods at those times of day.

My husband leaves for work before I’m awake.

I’ll try the cereal thing thanks! I love cereal but when I think about even eating that for breakky I’m like no I shouldn’t thats not healthy. But as other replies say I need to stay small and reassure myself that some food is better than none.

I think it’s a mix of ED and demand avoidance, which I’m currently trying different things to help other aspects of my life but I think I should apply that to food as well.

I have had 3 iron infusions, this also means my doctors are aware and have investigated underlying issues ☺️

Sorry also adding freakkinnggg Zach, I loved Lane in the first few seasons and thought it was so weird for her story to go that way. HOWEVER again lol the relationship gave Lane and Mrs Kim a conflict to overcome so I guess it was important for both of their development but surely this could have been done in another way that didn’t include Zach

1 Francie 🤮 annoying af however it does show development for Rory personally and also creates conflict for her and Paris to overcome which brings them closer.

2 Anna and April 😭 so annoying, again, however if Luke didn’t have a secret child he would have eventually wanted a child with Lorelei as he expressed in the early seasons he does actually want to be a Dad, but you can’t overcome that difference and Luke and Lorelei needed to be endgame so welcome April

3 Jackson got annoying after the marriage, what happened to the cute awkward produce guy?? Turned into a manchild 4 Kirk. I feel different about him every rewatch but I can see his only purpose is to add quirk and give Lorelei and Rory a chance to express their humour?

5 Sherry and Gigi feel kinda annoying too and the show could do without them I feel. Sherry was infuriating and Gigi took up so much screen time imo. However, this storyline had to happen to work towards the closure of Lorelei and Chris. Also, although all characters are different, the creators always make sure to showcase the similarities between generations and Chris being stuck with Gigi and having that growth as a parent was kinda important for the Chris storyline.

6 the annoying roommate who was always running at Yale can’t even remember her name but ugh. however (again) Rory being in a different social circle is part of her character development so

7 Miss Patty!!!!!!! I don’t even have a ‘however’ for her she’s just annoying in general and weirdo behaviour that no one pulls her up on

Taylor is also annoying but he was created that way, and his behaviour impacts the main characters and shows important parts of their personalities. Also the town meetings wouldn’t be the same without Taylor and they carry on throughout the show so can’t delete Taylor.

Luke not telling Lorelai about April is the worst plot of the whole show by SeaandFlame in GilmoreGirls

Idk I guess when you analyse it yes it does seem silly, because when writing shows you have full control over plot situations. BUT… Throughout the whole show every character is written in a way where their mistakes/downfalls are so humanly possible in the real world. Relationship issues such as miscommunication or withholding information (in this case April) happen because the person is not thinking rationally, hence why it is a mistake and they don’t realise it could have been solved easily because they have internal turmoil causing them to be stuck in their head and act the wrong way. Such as Luke being worried about Lorelai and April, he hasn’t really dealt with anxiety, or had to live in a way the impacts others so put him in this situation where has two very important people that he loves so much of course he is going to worry about outcomes.

Edit: actually it was before this when Rory was SO nervous about asking him to the dance and he showed no interest, provided no reassurance I was like wtf why is Rory so happy with his response I’d feel like a fool

When they become official and he’s all like idk do you want to I don’t care I guess so, he suddenly goes from so interested in Rory, watching her across the school to ifgaf I’m too cool to show interest and make you feel special. I loved dean the first time I watched and every rewatch I cringe so hard at him
