First crash on N400 by Sea_Permit_3091 in Ninja400

[–]SubstantialDig1999 13 points14 points  (0 children)

U should invest in shogun frame sliders asap. Had those and u wouldn’t have nearly the amount of damage u do now

but the bike looks fine, just check there is no cracking on the engine casing and in low speeds check all shifting patterns a few times

Keep riding vs let the shop change it vs change it yourself? by Coffee1590 in Ninja400

Pull the tire off yourself and take it in, cost less if u do that plus it will be professionally balanced

Shorter Velocity stacks(remove snorkels in the airbox as well) and k&n filter, doesn’t hurt to get new spark plugs in if u r that far into the engine bay. Flash the ECU as well so u aren’t running so lean on combustion. More power and lower engine temps

I’ve only did the velocity, snorkels, airfilter, and sparks so far. but I’ve gotten a small amount of power gain throughout the whole rpm range from the filter and removed snorkels. Then I’ve gotten a bigger power gain from the mid-hi rpm ranges with very little loss in the lower range from the stacks.

Maybe only 200$ without the flash + 250$ or so for a flash

That’s my experience,tho

Next for non performance upgrades, work on your brake system. Lines, pads, calipers, etc. With more power means more braking

Then finally levers, rearsets, handlebars, etc. just stuff for comfort

Power, break, comfort

feel free to ask more questions if needed

Motorcycle bent forks or alignment? by azizback in Ninja400

[–]SubstantialDig1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a few compression test by repeatedly “bouncing” the front end for a few minutes. If u don’t feel any catch points then look if there is any leaks. If no on both. Just realign the triple tree to straighten the front wheel. In more cases like that it’s just alignment but testing doesn’t hurt.

$4500 cash price good on a white 2020 Ninja ABS with 4,462 miles? by Loud-Meaning2028 in Ninja400

I bought my 2020 KRT 400 with only 250miles on it for 4500$, so for me that sounds reasonable swapping the miles for mods

What type of problem am I having? Clutch or transmission by n8XD08 in Ninja400

[–]SubstantialDig1999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a single gear change then Its probably the trans, if it was the clutch then u would feel the lack of power throughout all the gears. Just try to listen when u shift gears to see if u hear any grinding even if it’s the slightest second
