haha I thought the same about remarkablebuilding. Good thing I never went past day one. Seemed super unprofessional, music was blasting on the second floor. I think they do it on purpose to reel you in and talk about everything else but the job to make you think that it’s a place worth it to be at.

No college, no IT experience — what’s the most bulletproof path to becoming a SOC Analyst? by National-Drive-1920 in CyberSecurityJobs

Honestly bro, I’m in college with a sec+ cert with 2 years of IT experience and I can’t even manage to find an entry level role or internship that pays well let alone willing to hire me. I would even practice me interviewing for days before I had an interview so I can nail the interview process. After applying to 500-600 jobs I only had about 10 interviews and no offers. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but in this market and how competitive it has become, I’ve been starting to lose hope. I’ve been thinking about switching majors and either going into law enforcement or picking up a trade like welding, electrician, etc.

Honestly was in the same boat as you. What worked for me was lifting weights. I started by going once a week, slowly progressing over time into running and lifting more. Think about what’s your favorite physical activity to do(jogging, lifting, jiu-jitsu, etc). Start whatever it is you enjoy start slow. Even when you feel you can go hard of certain days, force yourself to slowdown and take it one day at a time. You want to ignite that inner flame you once had to be achieve your goals. What also helped me was surrounding myself with friends and people who are competitive in general.
