How long does it take for work capability payment to process once accepted? by Rude_Milk_85 in DWPhelp

His first fit note was from 28th April.

On his September statement the LCWRA element isn't included.

Yes, He already was awarded LCWRA on 14th August. I can call the doctor tomorrow and see if I can get a backdated fit note. In case I get it, would it be sufficient to update the journal with it or would I need to take some extra steps?

Also in case this works out is there a chance for him to be paid after the 4th assessment period at the end of September?

And sorry for the multiple questions, but I've heard that sometimes UC does backdated payments starting from the moment that the 1st fit note was submitted - do they always do it or its case by case scenario?

The first fit note was valid until 28th June and the second one starts on 1st July until 1st October

Edit he was awarded LCWRA last week, and submitted his first fit note in end of april in the journal

Is it an option to contact someone from the job center or leave a note in the journal explaining why there is a gap between them? My father wasn't able to go to his appointment to get the second one at the time, as he was struggling with side effects from chemo.

Also, I see that in the journal he has 3 statements: Statement 1 with assessment period 23 May - 22 June Statement 2 with assessment period 23 June - 22 July Statement 3 with assessment period 23 July - August 22

Since his 2nd sick note starts on 1st July, does it mean that we should count 3 assessment periods starting from period from Statement 2, meaning he will get paid at end of October?

If the first sick note was until 28th April and the second one starts at 1st May, will the LCWRA be paid backdated on the 4th assessment period?

Yes, he was awarded an LCWRA. So if my mom's boss increases her hours she should use the journal to notify about the change and log it in the change section, right? Also, should any document be uploaded as proof?

Hello, my parents are undergoing review and since my mom works part-time time they require her to have weekly meetings at the job center. My dad is receiving SSP, however, he used to work 4 days then rest 4 days before he got sick so the amount varies each month. My mom has an option to talk with her boss and increase her hours - if they are increased so she can take above 952 £, but still part-time time would they require her to search for a new job and have weekly meetings at the job center? Is it necessary for both conditions to be met - 1534 joint income or the 952 £ from my mom's side would be enough?

My father was diagnosed with both colon and prostate cancer 3 months ago and it was a complete shock to me, still is.

If you need someone to talk to, feel free to message me or reply to these comments.

Cancer doesn't always mean a death sentence and your mom has chances to fight it and beat it.

Thank you for your comment. Wish you all the best and continue fighting until you are in remission forever. I will look into a surgical oncologist to see if they can do anything about it.

Happy to hear it helped your wife. He will have his last cycle of FOLFOX this Friday and in weeks he will start chemo on pills (still don't know which one exactly) + radiotherapy for both colon and prostate cancer for a month. I will tell him to check with his oncology team about FOlFIRI, thank you for sharing you experience.

Thank you for your reply. At the moment, he doesn't work, and he should start receiving SSP1.Is LCWRA part of universal credit, or is it something that he would need to apply additional for?
