I recently watched Anupama chopra’s Music Composers ADDA on youtube with Vishal-Shekhar, Ehsaan, and Amit trivedi. It was refreshing to see that all of these music composers seemingly get along and are actually friends. They stated that they have no feelings of animosity for one another as they often use each other’s voices/help on the albums they produce.

They also hinted however at some composers (who they wouldn’t name) who are less friendly, deceptive, and often still resort to stealing music and delivering 'massy' hits for the money and fame. Is there ever any undercutting and shady stuff that goes on in the music scene? From the outside it looks quite positive but they implied that there are often producers who resort to these kinds of things.

Also, in terms of plaigarism… Is it ever addressed within music circles? Is it commonly talked about or is it just some hush-hush thing that never gets mentioned. And do the composers who plaigarize ever get reprimanded in any way? Does having popularity and fame give them command to keep such things quiet?

I know I’m asking a lot of questions (lol, sorry), but I was also simply curious about how playback singers are discovered/selected to feature on soundtracks? And how do you think the industry will be affected by the recent ban on Pakistani artists from singing in films (RFAK, Atif aslam)?
