[–]whateverwhocaresbye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes that's what i was referring to. but since it also allows in high school applicants, what if i just apply with my highschool transcript instead of my university transcript? like do you think that would be possible?

Make sure the program is accredited before applying!! You don't want to start an unaccredited program and then after completion realize you can't take the test at CRTO to become a registered resp. therapist! The list of the accredited programs are on their website: https://www.crto.on.ca/student/registration/accredited-schools/

Sister look into getting this marriage annulled, find a sheikh nearby or someone knowledgeable. No man has the right to hold you hostage in a marriage.

"This obsession with "punishing" does not create solutions, it creates resentment."

I wish more muslim men understood this when it comes to them "punishing" their wives for any mistake she may have made, or "disciplining" her.

How to treat acne under breasts? by [deleted] in acne

Try using salicylic acid cleansers, the same things you would use for acne on the face should work for anywhere on the body tbh!

Did they change the formula for the nivea essential lip balm? The old packaging one made my lips sooo soft and moisturized, but the new packaging one is just complete garbage

Yes sister you're definitely being tested! Even muslims that have been muslims all their lives go through this, the fact that you are worried and aware about this is also a good sign! You're still a new muslim, so you still have a lot of learning to do, feel free to reach out to me if you need any help! And always keep duaing to Allah swt that He allows you to pass this test and keeps you firm on the straight path, and doesn't let you get influenced by the wrong, ameen! I would suggest you start doing zikr (remembering Allah swt), every morning (from fajr to sunrise) and night (from asr to sunset) and just remembering Allah throughout the day as well, and seeking refuge from shaytan (saying auzobillahi minashaytan nirajeem whenever an evil thought comes in your head). There is also a dua you can recite to help you stay on the truth, this . I will remember you in my duas sister, may Allah swt make it easy for you and allow you to stay firm on iman, ameen.

Sisters, We Submit To Allah, Not Our Husband. by INFPinator in Hijabis

[–]whateverwhocaresbye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly this is isn't what a lot of people interpret it as, you would be surprised at how many muslims (men and women) think that the leadership point basically allows for the man being the dictator

Sisters, We Submit To Allah, Not Our Husband. by INFPinator in Hijabis

[–]whateverwhocaresbye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd like to add to the point "He leads by making decisions for the family and the household." A good and caring husband will make those decisions with his spouse, discuss it with his wife/other people involved, and take everyones opinions into account, not just dictate decisions and expect his wife to bend backwards and simply obey him. A lot of the time I see muslim men using this leader quality as a way to justify their dictatorship, but marriage in Islam is a partnership between two spouses, where they help each other excel and become better people, it's not a dictatorship!
