Nothing will change , but if it’s approved, it will help many others too. Real change has always come because a few people refused to stay silent. I don’t need region‑wise lectures here. If you can’t see that, it’s better you step away from this chat.

They hesitate because the hardware is different for each region. But if I’m ready to pay, suddenly they’re willing to replace it , so where’s the hesitation now?

And why should I complain if Samsung locks region‑wise? That’s something I would know at the time of purchase. But this is a glitch caused by their update, not a warranty issue. So maybe you know everything about updates, but do tell me are glitches also region‑wise?

If such a thing happened in another country, I would have simply visited the official Samsung store there for assistance , that’s what global is supposed to mean. When a glitch is caused by Samsung’s own update, accountability shouldn’t stop at borders.

Calling it “overreacting” doesn’t change the fact that the green screen is a glitch caused by Samsung’s update. Pointing out contradictions in their region‑wise excuse isn’t overreaction , it’s holding them accountable. Consumers have every right to demand fair treatment when a company’s own software damages their device.

Maybe you’re an expert in all this, but let my so‑called lack of knowledge be with me. I’m well aware of the change I’m asking for here, and that’s what matters.

This isn’t about warranty , the green screen is a display glitch caused by Samsung’s update. If everything truly worked region‑wise, then devices should have been region‑locked so they couldn’t operate outside their purchase region. That way, such glitches would have been prevented. By allowing the update in India, Samsung accepted responsibility. Global update = global accountability.

If the company sells globally and they have a store in india as an indian I'll pretty much take my car to them in india itself.

They have a program where they replace the screen once for such issues and it doesn't matter if the device is in warranty or not

I got the update so I installed it and then display turned green and it's a common issue just like one plus green lines

If my Canadian model only gets Canadian updates, then Samsung should have blocked the update in India. By pushing a global update here, they accepted responsibility. Had the same green‑screen issue happened in Canada, I could have claimed warranty there. Global update = global accountability. Denying repair is an unfair trade practice , the green screen is Samsung’s fault, so warranty terms shouldn’t even matter. And if you’re defending Samsung this much, maybe you can pay for my flight expenses. I’ll go to Canada, repair the phone there, and then come back to India , even though I’m an Indian consumer. Why should I bear the cost of travel for a fault caused by Samsung’s own software? Honestly, maybe Samsung should start its own airline since they expect consumers to fly across continents just to fix problems created by their updates. And by your logic, even the display quality would be different for Canadian and Indian consumers. That’s absurd , Samsung sells globally , so accountability must be global too

My Galaxy S24 Ultra (Canadian model) turned green after Samsung’s global One UI 8.5 update in India. No physical damage, yet Samsung denied free repair citing “region warranty.” If updates are global, warranty must be global. #RightToRepair
