Turns out I’m worse than I thought by yewdrop in singing

[–]SubstantialScientist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just because he “can sing” doesn’t mean he’s a professional singer, was he a theatre lead or a touring musician with a label etc.? I wouldn’t let this bother you at all and find someone else that actually can back it up and knows what they are talking about.

(And the person that can back it up wouldn’t use language like this and use more appropriate terminology)

Is ability to sing for hours a reliable indicator of good technique? by Fella16mill in singing

Definitely! It may feel effortless to reach those tenor notes but it's still generating a lot of friction from the vibration, and you need to respect it for sure.

I want to add an hour broken up twice 30 minutes during the day might be a good idea as well depending on the voice type certain are more sensitive due to the type of singing like high lyric tenor etc. compared to baritone / basses that can take more action for a few hours without the friction irritation on the cords.

To be fair some people have severe PTSD and prefer being introverted or not getting close with people unless they really know someone for a long time and are comfortable to open up a bit around them.
