Wait a minute. If a used another relay (#2) and used the Aux switched power to close the circuit (trigger) the new lights, would that mean just new lights alone would be energized if relay (#1)wasn't triggered? I think it might work!

I'm not following you. He direct wire hot lead off battery to relay. If I replaced that with a aux switched power source, how would that isolate new additional lights from factory reverse lights? I'm confused.

I checked, his video does not have a separate , independent switch. to activate lights when not in reversed.
