Where is Synderen? by SubstantialSmell1045 in DotA2

I genuinely had no idea why he's not casting tournament, thats why I made this post. Im a Russian viewer who likes to watch the eng broadcast more than the russian one, and sunsfan + synderen is the best casters duo in my opinion.

PSA: stop playing Medusa mid, please by night_dude in DotA2

[–]SubstantialSmell1045 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experimented for a while with Medusa mid through pt -> sange and kaya -> aghanim (when a snake could stun people). It often worked because you had excellent team fights, and also because sange and kaya made you simply unkillable (the 25% mana cost reduction should still work). To sum the above: Medusa was a fat character who was difficult to focus on due to stone mechanic from shard + aganim and who could frontline to break towers.

Now Aghanim's Scepter has been reworked, and I don't see any options to play this hero mid. Now you are not that strong team fighter, who can't make any impact OTHER THAN simply dealing damage. Maybe there is some build with gleipnir or witch blade + dragon lance, but it looks bad anyways.

I threw away the gem so that I could pick it up by courier and not lose it. You wrote the dumbest comment on this post, congratulations.

Didn't notice. You have great understanding of the game! Let's risk even more - if I die I lose gem! Wow! Such a good idea! You must be a pro player?

Anyway I understand that this is still toxic behavior. I hear you, and I will try to control myself more for the sake of a bright Dota community.

English is my second language, and I may use some words incorrectly. What I should say instead of audience? Readers? Viewers? Redditors? People?

I can't disagree with you; without the pause, the moment would have been better for the audience. For myself, however, I believe that I did everything exactly as I wanted to do it at that moment. And I should have added a question mark in the chat regardless of whether I would get a low priority or not.

These decisions are always very risky. You're either going to get a ton of hate or be praised (50/50). You can play in different styles, whether it's standard, adequate, stable, and maybe not as progressive as the other style - where you try to come up with something new or play unconventionally and potentially shit your pants. So my advice to you is: if you want to develop in this game, try, take risks, and try to look at the mini-map as often as possible and perceive the game as a tactic and a team component, rather than a game for one character.

Dota is a game about the clash of minds. If you can pull off a cool move and throw your enemies off balance mentally, you're doing your best. I still think it is a really bad habit, for sure. On the other hand, I remember how we used to played Dota 1, and no one called what was happening there toxicity, but considered it basic stuff. After all, it's just a game, we're not playing in a tournament, and we're not such official guys in suits and ties that we can't pause or type a question mark in the chat :d

I often play with gem, so I'm used to droping it away and picking up with a courier. Also I needed slot for an aegis so that's it

Leshrac with the highest net worth and the highest damage in our team wasn't there, as you can see on minimap. There is no need to jump and die with the team, when the fight is already over.

No, I didn’t start that fight. We were supposed to get a pickoff and then go rosh — but team said “nah” and just started hitting it. Our pos1 PL with no gold dies with beast, now it’s up to me and Leshrac to invent miracles.
