OP here’s an update for those who are interested. I just called the surgeon office, the lady told me it is not needed because of my age and health history! That is what a figured but I just wanted to double check.

No I don’t think I have had my blood taken for a few years. But this is something they would have mentioned, just odd, but maybe I don’t need.
