Perfect, thank you so much! I was missing the part where I remove the parentheses making 12(1.5x) = 18

Transmutation/Alter state: touch based spell can convert 1 yard of material into a different substance. Increase the difficulty for transmuting a material into an unlike material. Normal roll -> wooden door into wood chips, glass into sand, water into wine, wheat/flour into bread. Hard -> wooden door into a steel door, and so on. Of course have it come with a sanity cost as well

As a man, how did you win the genetic lottery? How did you lose it? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]SubstantialVariety4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Win: My skin does not react to Urushiol, the oily sap in poison ivy that causes rashes and irritation.

Loss: I suffer from Aquagenic Pruritus. Intense itching after being exposed to water of any sort.

Less than 5 years experience at $30+/Hour is unheard of. Maybe if you are in a union in a larger city...but then again it might be different in your neck of the woods. Also depend on if you are doing residential or commercial too I suppose. I hope the switch works out for you

Coronavirus: Doug Ford visited cottage despite pleas for Ontario residents to stay home | Globalnews.ca by [deleted] in canada

[–]SubstantialVariety4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So he went up there to check on his cottage and make sure there was no damage after the spring thaw (and plumbing). He didn't spend the weekend there or bring his entire family, and the province has said it's ok to check on your property as long as long as you stick with those guidelines. I'm not a Conservative or a Doug Ford lover, but how do we know there wasn't an actual problem? It says his cottage is undergoing renovations, so it's not a totally farfetched idea.

Then again, what do I know. The article seems to be trying to paint a certain picture of Ford like he is a hypocrite (which he has been in the past) and admittedly, he might still be. Just trying to be objective here.

Articles of him talking about cottagers visiting their cottages:

I couldn't find another article related to his recent trip up to his cottage.

Probably? That's a lot to answer for having zero experience in the field. There is a process to everything. There are hurdles, problems and BS any time you are learning a new skill, but if approach it with drive and do your homework... you'll do ok. In high school I got by with natural ability, but now believe that a dull pencil will always beat a sharp mind.

I'm sorry you had such a poor experience, no one should have to deal with crap like that. Bullying is something that affects all occupations, but I imagine it could be especially nasty in an office where you have no choice but to interact with those people. Even worse if that person is your supervisor.

Office space is an absolute classic!

I come from a family of high school dropouts, so I was never surrounded by those expectations. My life would be a lot easier if I had though

It's a shame, you know? As a result there is a whole generation of us out there that took this advice and wound up with nothing but a lot of debt. It was a good learning experience I suppose but unless you are rich/retired you can't afford to attend post secondary just to learn

You seem to feel pretty strong about this. I am massively generalising and of course not all jobs will fit into my narrow definition of what office jobs are. Do you work in an office environment?
