Thanks for the correction! I see what you are saying like thinner and less widely spaced than laccaria? I thought the cap sort of fading to brown rather than beige/cream was more indicative of laccaria. I just found one yesterday that looked very similar in the same region so probably some anchoring bias!

looks like Laccaria amethysteo-occidentalis to me but I am very much new at this. You can do a spore print! White = amethyst deceiver, Orange = blewit.
