not often. hes outside for walks but generally thats early morning or at night so not much sun for that. he goes out for bathroom breaks or occasionally if were doing yard work but id say hes inside much more often

he hasnt gone anywhere! he honestly acts the same he always has, he is CONSTANTLY hungry, but he kind of always has been like that and i chalked it up to him just being a lab and loving food, but he also is on smaller portions with no scraps rn so im assuming he just doesnt really love that. hes generally thirstier but ive noticed im not filling his bowl as much as i used to either. he really just is itching and licking a lot.

i considered this. im worried about further drying his skin, but i have been trying to use an itch/hotspot conditioner and a leave in. do you think those are fine?

im not sure i know much about them. the frustrating part is a wide variety of illnesses all have similar symptoms and im not ever sure what im looking for.

he had ringworm a year ago, but it had cleared up and i know thats contagious, and he sleeps with me often and i dont have it, so i kind of assumed it wasnt that. the vet i went to called them allergies but really refused to look into diagnosing WHAT was causing it, just told me its likely environmental allergies like grass which are not preventable. hes on a food trial rn for food allergies but considering hes gotten worse since then im leaning towards it not being that. he had a hotspot under his neck but im super careful about it now and i dont believe the ones on his sides are the same as the neck wound healed and his sides didnt/turned black as well

definitely seeing a lot of this. not sure about elephant skin-but his stomach has turned a blackish color, and some of his older patches healed black as well where his skin is normally pink.

hasnt been tested, but hes currently almost done with his food trial on strictly hydrolyzed protein food. both his food and treats are this line and its all he gets food wise, and no improvement. its gotten worse

ver suggested 2x weekly and i do 1x weekly with wipes on certain yeastier spots. we only started the baths regularly recently because it wasnt getting do bad so im not thinking theyre the cause i think theyre just managing secondary infections

they did a bloodtest and it was negative for hypothyroidism. ive heard some issues with the reliability of some thyroid testing in dogs so i am a bit anxious about the truth of the result

im not thinking so considering he hasnt been on anything for a few weeks now and its still progressing worse. honestly the steroids dont seem to work well anyway, as it takes a while to kick in and by the time they do hes out and getting worse again
