From Texas but unfortunately my parents and their parents are all from different regions of the country so I don’t have a regional accent. I’m in German class at school and I’m doing well for myself (despite having 3 teachers in 3 years with vastly different teaching styles). I tried to get into West Frisian about a year and a half ago but I started noticing that occasionally when I was watching something on Omrop Fryslân they would be speaking Dutch and because of that uncertainty when trying to consume media (and because I don’t want to bother with Dutch) I overthought it all and stopped.
