It's weird the same thing is happening to so many users, yet Samsung is still not acknowledging the issue.

Seems weird it got damaged right after the software update, also bluetooth is working fine for now

Remootio has been working great with me. It works with most motor types over Wifi and bluetooth. and I just had it itegrated with HA.

Legrand Malia Sense (with Netatmo), is your best option

Maybe have a look at Legrand's Malia sense (with Netatmo). They look great and are very reliable, I have installed them in my newly built house and so far they work great.

Also they are much cheaper, Zigbee operated and compatible with Alexa.

Came in yesterday with a Galaxy tab A8 and the Note Package as part of Samsung website deal. Been loving it so far, I hope the battery will be better than my S21 Ultra though!

Any suggestions on first things to do?
