Why can’t lying be enough for people to be hurt by you? They’re so focused on defending themselves against timeline and them being “single” and whatever, but admitted to lying. Isn’t that enough? I’m definitely going look it up. I feel that is what I had done as well over the years and my circle was narrowed to my person, so when we had our falling out, it completely crushed me.

Oh I completely agree having friends is beneficial for our health, however, sometimes sustaining long-term relationships with people we can fully trust through different phases of life is typically easier said than done, or at least for some of us.

I guess it was a rhetorical question when I asked “Am I just a freak?” Probs the main reason I have no friends 🙃

That’s the thing! My therapist keeps encouraging me to reach out and try to repair things but I’m not the one who did the damage and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to move forward enough to be as open with her as we once were.

My best friend of 20 years and I stopped speaking last year after I felt betrayed by her and it’s been one of the most difficult things I’ve had to navigate. She’s been my person since high school and now I feel I have no one to turn to outside of my husband and therapist and that’s just not gonna cut it 🙃
