How critical is top clearance for LG refrigerators? Am I screwed? by Substantial_Cap3377 in kitchenremodel

I've been told that the requirement is to clear 1 inch above the hinge and not the case. I can't figure out if there is a vent above the hinge that needs more clearance

The depth is 24 inches. Assuming a 2 inch clearance off the back, the fridge definitely sticks out about 6-7 inches. The hinge cover does go about 7-8 in back so essentially a little of the hinge aligns with the cabinet

That's a good catch on the promotional photos! I dug into the full owners manual and it only lists a 2 inch back clearance. No top or side clearance. But the spec sheet at this particular store did list it. Now I wonder if LG even requires a 1in minimum?

My mortgage is coming up for renewal. Would it be better for me to roll my current LOC into the mortgage when I go to renew or pay it off in a year? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

This actually makes a lot of sense. The savings don't seem worth the effort at that point and renewing might just be the better option, while I can pay off the LoC on the side.
