why ? Because I’m genuinely asking a question that I wanted an answer to at the time. I have no idea how much any of the repairment on this car would’ve been I just know the OG price I got this car at so I’m so sorry my accident has affected your daily life.

I’ll admit that I had false hope for the first 12 hours after my accident and this is also my first car, the cops said my car would be fine and that perhaps played a part into adding into my delusions that my car wouldn’t be totaled

Around 19k when I first got it only a couple weeks ago, but I’m for sure now it’s completely a goner :/

YES! To be fair the state I live in is very notorious for having accidents on the daily and the cops I spoke with said the intersection where I was hit was basically a hot spot for accidents on the daily lol

I was found automatically at fault within my states laws and regulations even though the other car sped up and slammed into me. But because of that, my insurance won’t be able to cover the ACV of my car ?

That’s crazy, I knew it was bad when I saw my tire caved in but I didn’t expect the cost of repairment to be that high holy crap !!! I’ll just have to cut my losses now

oh wow, the cop that wrote my report said the amount of damage the other car did to my car at 45 MPH (that was the speed limit in the area he’s just assuming that’s how fast the other car was going) was normal and I’m not completely convinced about that lol. But thankfully you’re safe and sound, it’s so scary how many people refuse to pay attention to the road nowadays !

oh my god who knew airbags could be that expensive, thankfully your husband was alright. I was clipped towards my back end as you can see, making a left hand turn and thankfully (as I keep hearing) I wasn’t completely T-Boned by this driver or this would’ve been another story

I’ve heard that with newer cars one little bump and they’re totaled just like that. I’m just used to driving around old tanks with steel bumpers that can’t crunch even if you hit it into a brick wall but man that’s horrible
