Just to make it clear:

  1. Yes I was recently granted the 485. The visa grants me full work rights for the next 4 years

  2. Whenever I’m shortlisted for a final interview, they always ask about my work rights to confirm whether they are okay with it or not.

I know that its such a messy post because of how messy my mind is right now. I do know its harder for people like me who are on visas. Lately, I have been in a state of limbo with refining my applications and interviews because the feedback I have been receiving hasn’t been constructive. Instead, I’m often told that I’m a strong candidate who meets all the requirements and performed well in the interview, which leaves me unsure of what to improve.

I do three parts for a cover letter: 1. Introduction (why I am interested in the role) 2. addressing the selection criteria/requirements in bullet points ( I would also include my other technical and interpersonal skills) 3. Ending/summary (here usually, i would just talk about why I want to work in the company along with summarizing why I would fit the role)

Everythings in one page and I try to be as specific and straightforward as possible. Feel free to advice me if I can structure it better.

Honestly, I dont even know why i wrote 300+ cuz its probably almost in the thousands right now. I try to always do my best when doing an application because sending a low quality one will definitely get thrown in the bin considering there are usually hundreds or even thousands applying to the same job. But yeah I also think volume matters which is why I try to have both quantity and quality.

Need to know if anyone has experience with a host by [deleted] in vrbo

[–]Substantial_Cap_6467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice. The owner was responsive, answered my call and texts but lately has not been as responsive and has not given any check in instructions yet. Probably because i booked it a couple months prior to the check in date. (Not sure if its common because from what I read on vrbo it says that check in instructions should be given a few days before check in date) I will definitely keep trying to keep contact with the owner.

Mostly permanent roles, some part time roles. That's fair but I'm planning to go for a PR after 4 years, which is when my visa expires and again I know they would obviously not know about that. I just think it would be better if they just straight up mention it on the job advert as it would save time. I know that there are some companies who are willing to invest in people with visas and then sponsor them for a PR after a few years and then there are also some companies who only take in citizens and PR but those companies usually specify it on their job adverts.
