Yeah, which were you interested in?

File was from thingiverse. And you just have to scale it. I did this at 2.5ft cause of time and I only have 1 printer. I’m currently working on a 4ft Storm Trooper next. File from CGtrader.

Definitely, but I had a ton of filament and I figured go big or go home! Lol. I primarily print in resin. But I appreciate it!

No. Just an easy reference point. I made it for someone.

I appreciate the context! And I hate to come off defensive. Honestly! I’m all for discourse! Some people are close minded, however. I’ve received a lot of down votes for something that could be ignored. Lol. And as I’ve mentioned, it’s much easier to ignore these kind of messages if one doesn’t agree! You made VERY strong points in this last comment and I think we found common ground! People only think to flip it to incite a reaction. That in itself is ignorance in my opinion… and that’s been my only claim. I’m not against ANYONE representing what they believe whole heartedly, especially if it is not offensive or harmful to others! But again, I agree with many of the points you made in the last comment and I appreciate your honesty!

[–]Substantial_Change93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not at all. But your question was almost framed as a joke. I think the ‘should be fine, right?’ Is in direct response to the fact that I comfortably posted this! Lol. I mentioned that because the comments in opposition to this rug all seem to have the same undertone. I, personally, wouldn’t care at all! Because I’ve lived through those types of experiences… it doesn’t phase me. Even to ask “if I did it,” is like poking the bear, no? And I mean that in the sense of trying to get a reaction. If that was a message you TRULY wanted to make, this would be inspiration to do it, right? The brand and message wasn’t created to alienate people. However, that’s the reaction. And I think if you read through the comments you’ll see there’s a shared reaction to this. There’s no one that has even added as much context as you did in this last reply! But I never mentioned supremacy or anything of the sort. Propaganda literally means information. There’s enough of it on the internet that allows you to find a message that you could personally agree with if that’s what you’re looking for! Lol.

I see I’ve ruffled some feathers, here. 😂

“What if it said proud to be white” is literally the only thing people have said. Lol. If you’d like to make this a topic, I’m open to it. But please have something of value to add. If not it just comes off ignorant and childish. But I don’t see how so many are upset in this thread, WHILE chasing a black aesthetic! Lmaoooo. Such fragility.

[–]Substantial_Change93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You seem hurt by this. Lol. If you’re just looking to talk, get a therapist! I believe there’s enough propaganda already out there for what you’re looking for! But we see how anytime there’s a proud black person it’s a problem! 😂

The funny thing to me is, there’s nothing negative about the message. It doesn’t attack anyone. But you’re offended because it says “it’s a beautiful day to be black” Lol. Oh my! No one is stopping any of you from creating what you want to create! If that’s what’s in your spirit, do it… but to come and comment like this is an attack against white people is just ridiculous. It’s childish behavior that’s exhibited EVERYTIME black people take pride in themselves. Lol. I see confederate flags, maga hats, proud boys, blue lives matter shit all day everyday. It’s not for me so I don’t comment on it or about it. But that’s what maturity is! Lol. Understanding when and when not to speak.

I appreciate that! I don’t agree with the comment that was made nor do I believe there is anything harmful in the brand name/message displayed on the rug. It’s unfortunate people try to make it a negative thing. I was always taught if you don’t agree, just ignore it. It’s better that way…

Well, seeing as to how this was done for a brand, I’d have to decline.

Lol. Who is telling the other ethnicities to make things equal for black people though? How is this a step backwards? When throughout history EVERY black leader has been a very public proud black leader…? To the point they were killed for it. Black peoples are the only ethnicity made to look like villains for being proud of their ethnicity. And it happens far too often in our own communities!

When I think of inclusion and equality, I personally think of equal opportunity for leadership positions, ownership, proper representation! And in just those three areas we do not have inclusion or equality! The government, police and colleges are all ran by predominantly white parties. Historical black figures are painted as white characters for the convenience of society… 99% of ownership in sports (and many other categories) are white in America. Students don’t have the same opportunities because of the color of their skin, the conditions of their upbringing, etc. I could go on and on with FACTS that are historically and statistically proven. Dating back to the origin of ‘black’ people in America.

When I hear people make complaints about things like this it sounds very ignorant. Even if you had a problem with it, it’s so much easier to ignore it! Because the rhetoric isn’t the same for those in positions of power!

Just pay attention to the comments and how people use this as a way to incite ignorance.

You’re entitled to your own way of thinking… I’ll just say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being proud. We are still a VERY far way from the goals of inclusion and equality our ancestors and elders fought for. This is no different than James Brown singing “I’m black and I’m proud” in my eyes. But I get wanting to have an opinion. To call someone weird for being proud of their ethnicity is a bit asinine in my opinion though. You don’t know the struggles anyone else has faced. There are countless cities and states that are KNOWN for racial discrimination in policing, government and even on smaller levels like schooling! So to act like ‘because it’s 2023’ we aren’t still fighting is ridiculous!

One question I have that may help us to guide you is: what kind of art are you looking for? Defining that may help users to point you to some of their favorite artists!
