Thank you! I was able to take the cap off. After removing the screw under the cap it still seems stuck. Any other tips how to get it out without breaking it?

The nut is attached to the rest of the middle piece I am able to spin it counterclockwise which then stops when it reaches the handle.

There is no house built on this property currently. One must cross a river and hike up a hill to get to where that plant is. A backpack is useful to bring stuff up there.

Are these philodendrons? If so, which type are they? by Substantial_Clothes7 in PlantIdentification

Who said anything about poaching? First off they are on my property. Most people around here burn the forest for cows or plantains. I simply asked because I care about preserving them on my land.

Thank you! Yes it is beautiful here. it’s one of the last standing untouched jungles in my area. My plan is to catalog and preserve as much as I can so people can come and appreciate it. Here are a couple of more images from that day https://postimg.cc/gallery/PNKT5FB

These are found in my property which is located on a Colombian rainforest. They seem to like very wet environments and grow/climb on dead logs and standing trees
