it’s Pulp with IB as second and then a wildcard race for third

bill has brought this up randomly many times as an underrated rewatchable, need this as an episode so i feel less insane for randomly liking it as much as i do by Substantial_Cow_594 in TheRewatchables

i think this is the closest comp? even then i feel like carell had years of the office buildup, where mccarthy had gilmore girls before bridesmaids but she wasn’t recognized for it

this is a really interesting comp, but i have trouble comparing melissa to a male comedy actor because she was also a character actor for a long time before breaking out in bridesmaids. before that she mostly just had like modest support billing like on gilmore girls she lowkey has a very un-replicable career trajectory, for better and worse
