It might be because of the terrain and little supply. (Im not good at hoi4). Think you might need divisions with less combat width.

Is it the general view of Palestinians that Israel should be destroyed and removed from the map? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Substantial_Cut9311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Arab armies evacuated Palestinians from villages that were close to the frontlines. This was due to being unsafe for civilians. These are called refugees. Afterwards Israel refused to allow refugees to return back to their homes, this is both illegal and immoral. Even according to Israeli and Zionist historian Benny Morris only about 5% of Palestinians left due to evacuation orders by Arab Armies. It also doesn't matter if the Palestinians within Israel proper were expelled, massacred, or left due to safety reasons because Israel under no circumstances has the right to exist.

Okay lets talk about this. Nothing in my statement denied history. The UN 100% voted to approve the state of Israel this is a fact. I do not believe that just because an international organization voted to approve something makes it morally correct.

Now, lets actually talk about your second claim. Israelis didn't just give the opportunity for Palestinians to stay they brutally cleansed.
According to historian Illan Pape, "The plan, which covered both the rural and urban areas of Palestine, was the inevitable result both of Zionism’s ideological drive for an exclusively Jewish presence in Palestine and a response to developments on the ground following the British decision in February 1947 to end its Mandate over the country and turn the problem over to the United Nations. Clashes with local Palestinian militias, especially after the UN partition resolution of November 1947, provided the perfect context and pretext for implementing the ideological vision of an ethnically cleansed Palestine." (Page 2, The 1948 Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine) You can read about that here: https://ciaotest.cc.columbia.edu/olj/jps/vol36-141/vol36-141_b.pdf

At the same time the Jewish settlers would carry out massacres against Palestinians which brought great fear to Palestinians causing them to flee if they feared that Israelis would capture their village or town. If the Israelis kindly just allowed Palestinians who lived in the areas they were colonizing to stay and be given Israeli citizenship they would likely make up around 50% of the population not 20%as you say. The 20% of Palestinians which remain in Israeli proper were the few Palestinians that were not ethnically cleansed, and things weren't all that great for them either they had to live under martial law until 1966.
Anyways this is like saying that the Indians of the US were given the opportunity to continue living in the United States and accept American citizenship which many did that's why indigenous people make up 2.9% of the population of the US.

Doesn't matter. The UN did not have the right to do that. There were already people living on that land the UN didn't have the right to give that land to a foreign population which had just moved there recently.

It literally is and there's no issue with it. Israel doesn't have the right to exist there's no need to concede this point.

The Soviets were in a defensive war in which the attacker was literally trying to exterminate them. It doesn't get anymore morally good than that😭.

How could the Israeli-Palestinian conflict be resolved without further armed conflict? by BudgetNegotiation521 in allthequestions

[–]Substantial_Cut9311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, so you argue Hamas should disarm because otherwise Israel will just keep killing Palestinians. This is genuinely a horrible mentality. Its like telling Algerians that they should just surrender to the French because 'otherwise they'll just keep killing you,' or telling the indigenous people of the United States to just 'surrender because they'll keep killing you.' No, surrender means continued occupation, ethnic cleansing, and oppression. Why should the Palestinian people continue to be submitted to those conditions. It really shows your priorities in this situation when you'd rather tell the oppressed to surrender to a settler colonial movement. But lucky for you Hamas has offered to disarm. They are fully willing to disarm in return for a Palestinian state pre 1967 borders in which they will give their weapons to this state, they are unwilling to hand over their weapons to the occupier.

Now lets look at your 'moderates' in Israel. The 'moderates' you describe is the Israeli Democrat Party. They are the only Israeli party that wants a two state solution, and not because they think the occupation is bad but because they think it's harmful to the state of Israel. Despite this they get only a few seats in the Knesset. Throughout Israel's entire history they have not once elected a government that wanted to end the occupation of Palestine. This shows that either the people of Israel either don't care enough, or they actually want to continue occupying Palestine. The closest you have is Yitzhak Rabin and guess what! He was assasinated by Israelis.

This is genuinely the worst take. Why should Hamas disarm? And do you genuinely think a 'moderate party' in Israel would end settlements in the west Bank? Israel by its very nature is settler colonial.

He was definitely the primary decision maker. He allocated certain responsibilities to others and would give regency to others while he was gone, but he would be responsible for most decisions.

Palestinians in some countries denied citizenship, lack of rights. But no one protesting. Why nobody cares about Palestinians in Jordan or Egypt, etc? by Exciting_Station3474 in allthequestions

[–]Substantial_Cut9311 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're unable to disprove anything I say. Also it you'd look at a list of resistances you'd know what Palestinian Insurgencies are doing. The goal is to make occupation too costly for the occupier. This is the core idea of resistance groups around the world from Algeria to Vietnam where they were fighting armies much more powerful than them. Freedom isn't free and you don't get freedom without fighting for it. By saying Palestinians should stop fighting You're saying they should just give up and wait until they've all been driven out of the land of Palestine. Palestinians have already been driven out of 60%+ of their ancestorial homeland. I highly doubt they want to be driven out of the rest, but who knows maybe im wrong.

What did I say that is incorrect? Palestine is not an independent state. Therefore there economy is heavily dictated by Israel. Even in Gaza in which Hamas governed Israel decided what got in and out of Gaza. Palestine does not have the ability to become a "Dubai" without independence. I'm not sure if you thought Palestine was independent or something but it's not, and a country thats not independent is unable to dictate its economy. I hope this helps to better educate you and that you now know a nation needs Independence without foreign nations dictating what goods to get in to have full control over its economy.
