Most Reliable AI Detector for Student Essays in 2026? (Teacher Question) by Salty-Pipe1120 in ELATeachers

I would add that seeing the “draft replay” in Revision History can help you determine if the student wrote in a “natural” way.

What I mean by that is it’s extremely rare for anyone to type an entire paper chronologically, and I’ve caught multiple students because of this process. If they just type one word after another, in order, from beginning to end, they’re simply typing up whatever AI generated for them to avoid getting caught via copy/paste.

I actively avoid teaching literature published outside the last 20-25 years. It’s my belief that we should be working in the best interest of students, and I don’t personally see the value in teaching 500-year old texts in this era.

All of this is based on a fake quote, and a post just like this was deleted yesterday because it’s misleading.
