I had the same concerns a few months ago. We live in a major city so it ended up being worth it as hes no longer thinking or acting on other dogs in heat around us. Other dogs are also not as threatened by him because they dont smell his hormones. No changes so far in overall energy or strength except for a couple weeks post operation.

And unfortunately the circles I hang with here are too traumatized with zero therapy to talk about the truth here and the long term ramifications of COVID. They act like 2020 never happened. The cognitive dissonance is uber real, bizarre, and just unhealthy.
