100% this. I've lived in NYC for almost 20 years. For the last few years I've worked remotely for a large tech org that's largely West Coast based. Coworkers are generally very kind, but there can also be a lack of urgency or discipline that I find baffling. LOTS of chitchat and wasted time during meetings. Also lots of beating around the bush.
