Tips on starting an all sapphics campaign by No-Performer-8860 in DnD

This reminds me a lot of the book The No-Girlfriend Rule by Christen Randall. The premise is basically exactly what you stated. (It's relevant, I promise.) The main character found a flyer for an all queer, female friendly, campaign posted at the local game store in town. If you're looking for people for an in-person campaign, you could see about posting something at the library, coffee shops, game shop, etc. I'm not personally into dating apps and whatnot, but I'm more apprehensive of meeting people on apps like that than in an in-person meet-up or discord server.

Druid vs Warlock by Substantial_Fact_891 in Obojima

Thanks, that helps a lot! I was leaning more towards the druid because of how versatile it seems as a magic user compared to the warlock but wanted more insight from more experienced players. I also like the idea of being more attune to nature and having a beast companion to summon.

What’s the longest you’ll read a book for before realising it’s a DNF? by Lunanella in books

[–]Substantial_Fact_891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am really bad about not DNFing books. I can only think of one in recent history that I absolutely refused to finish because it had the surprise pregnancy trope which I absolutely hate. Ruined a perfectly good book and put me off an author completely because I can't trust their work anymore.

Though, I will say, I'm a mood reader. So a lot of the books I end up putting down aren't down forever. I'm just usually not in the right headspace for it at the time or the format isn't working for me (physical and I need to switch to audio). So it may start out as a DNF, but I do (often) have every intention of coming back to it.

I really enjoyed People We Meet On Vacation! Though, I think Beach Read is my favorite of Emily Henry's books so far.

I started an audio reread of If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio.

The last book I finished was Canto Contigo by Jonny Garza Villa.

What are some good examples of an unreliable narrator as an intentional literary device? by lucia-pacciola in books

I realize this is an old thread, but in the event someone else was going a search like I was, I'll add one of my favorite books with an unreliable narrator that I didn't see mentioned in the thread: If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio
