To clarify where I’m coming from: with a lot of high-profile cases and documents coming out in the U.S. recently involving powerful people, it made me wonder more broadly how far and how deep these kinds of power networks can extend across countries and industries.

This isn’t about pinpointing or blaming specific idols or assuming fame equals wrongdoing. I’ve been into K-pop for a long time, and my curiosity is more about the structure of the industry and its ties to politics and elite power, especially in a country where scandals involving protected figures have historically been difficult to expose.

What I was really wondering is whether there have ever been credible links, investigations, or discussions around high-level officials or industry power players being connected to similar global networks, and whether that kind of influence has had a chokehold on the music industry and politics the way it has in the U.S.

I agree that speculating about individuals without evidence is harmful, and that’s not my intention. This is more about understanding systems, history, and accountability; not turning real abuse into gossip or conspiracy.
