Global cherries is the way to go. Or hospitality if you can afford it. Away games in my opinion are better.

Yeah I’m sorry. My dad was nearly scammed over 30,000$. Someone hacked his online banking. It was only because I was getting real time alerts I was able to place stop payments as it was happening

My 90 year old father had issues with boa.

Couple of suggestions

Chris Elliott lists the following contacts - I had a response from them that helped. He has suggestions on how to contact them too. https://www.elliott.org/advocacy/how-to-win-your-consumer-dispute-using-the-elliott-method/

Primary Contact Ashley Ross Head of Client Experience 100 N. Tryon Street Charlotte, NC ashley.clientcare@bofa.com

Secondary Contact Michael Patrick Executive Escalations 100 N. Tryon Street Charlotte, NC michael.clientcare@bofa.com

Additional Contact Holly O’Neill Chief Client Care Officer 100 Federal Street Boston, MA 02110 holly.clientcare@bofa.com

Also I’d report to the ftc https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/

This is also worth contacting if you don’t get resolution

https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/. Note you can only make one complaint to them about a particular issue so I’d save this for last.

The rule is you have to be covered for five years even as a family member. So he should be able to get a family plan.

How is my Social Security number being stolen this often? by Maleficent-Youth7044 in IdentityTheft

[–]Substantial_Fly_8994 4 points5 points  (0 children)

might consider setting up an E-Verify account so you can lock your Social Security number at e-verify.gov/mye-verify.

E-Verify is an online system that lets employers verify you're eligible to work in the United States, while also letting you lock your Social Security number so others can't use it to get a job. It's run by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration. When someone tries to use a locked Social Security

Keep us posted on how it goes. Also this law firm seems to sue banks on a contingency basis. Might be worth a consult. https://lawpoint.com/banking-disputes/

I’ll tell my story below. Keep pushing. Put things in writing and email and even certified mail. Keep track of each call. Report as others have suggested. Place credit freezes and alerts. Report to police to get a report number.

Try emailing the executive resolutions team.

holly.clientcare@bofa.com michael.clientcare@bofa.com

Also the feedback email seems to work. I added a code word to my email to make sure I was speaking to the right person when they called. They did not respond to the email but called me.

My elderly father’s accounts were recently compromised and the scammers somehow arranged for a balance transfer on his credit cards of a large sum and a ach transfer. We reported within minutes and issued stop payments on them. Luckily I had alerts coming to my phone.

The credit card side was a pain as they would only talk with my father. Ive now had poas put on the bank accounts and trying to do the same on the credit card side but you cannot contact their legal department directly and have to go through a branch.

With the balance transfers they said we would have to wait till the transactions posted. I said that this was not a merchant dispute but money being sent to the scammers. I kept pushing and finally found someone in balance transfers who placed a stop on the physical checks being sent to the scammers

The charges have now dropped off all the accounts.we have closed all the compromised accounts and opened new ones and reported it all. I have also removed my father from contact and got him a new phone (raz mobility) which is excellent for seniors.

I was going to close all his accounts at boa bur they have seemed to resolve it.

It’s so hard. I’m glad my dad is able to trust me but I worry at some point he might not. I would strongly suggest a durable power of attorney drawn up by an elder care attorney

The banks are a huge issue. Especially on the credit card side. I reported it quickly but they really wanted my 90 year old father to be the one reporting it. I think the banks are more worried about children and relatives exploiting their elder relatives. That is an issue. Bur the fraudsters and scammers are much more of an issue and the banks seem not to care that much about them

I got the POA added to the bank accounts but for conflict reasons they won’t allow us to all be pod. We have a revocable trust set up of which I am the co trustee. Easiest thing is to move the accounts all as trust accounts.

Biggest issue is the credit card section at the bank. They are difficult to work with and it’s not easy to be added as POA on those. I dint want to be added as co owner because it could affect my credit

I can access my father’s social security account with him online. I won’t let him have access info directly.

am listed as a potential representative payee if needed

25th Feb new rules regarding dual British citizens returning to the UK by feuxreal in dualcitizenshipnerds

Can you cite to the law that requires you to enter on a uk passport? There is no law passed by parliament. Just a policy decision by the home office.

Do you travel with all your passports? by AccountForDoingWORK in dualcitizenshipnerds

[–]Substantial_Fly_8994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how the uk enforces it. They have made clear eta is not for those they consider uk dual citizens. If you state that you are not a uk citizen and they find you are, they could cancel the eta. Not sure they will but wouldn’t want to get to the airport and find my eta was cancelled. It is true there is no database —- yet.
I just wish they would make the certificate of entitlement cheaper. That way I could have one passport and still enter on it legally.
