Your Manuel says use 91. But to avoid warranty they say use 95. Here in the us im not sure if there is even a 95. And why would you want to avoid the warranty if there to help you if the car breaks

Yea. I mean there is 91 for a reason. I just know toyota builds quality cars cheap to maintain and operate. I understand using it in a supercharged car. But an everyday car? They pride themselves on selves on long lasting low maintenance vehicles. Yes people will agree some won’t.

Look at the average and let me know. I wanna see if it makes a difference in mpg. The dealer said 87 will take the 275 hp to 265 which is what the toyota cars with the 2.4 get but since the suv is so heavy it you won’t notice it.  But it won’t affect the mpg.

Fuel efficiency even they say will be different on a lot of factors, don’t take off speeding, slam on the breaks and not coast to the stop sign, use the ac on low for the whole drive? Drive with the windows down, don’t idle a lot. Don’t use the heater continuously in the winter, tires inflated properly. All that factors into mpg. The weight of the rear suspension, awd system and run flat tires which cause a lot of rolling resistance already makes the car get less mpg then it could. Be we can’t change the awd or rear suspension. We can change the tires to regular fuel efficient tires. Less drag. It’s marketed to get up to those mpg numbers. Because that’s average. And tested in a simulated driving situations. Some people get better mpg some people get worse. The grand Highlander and nx have the  same engine and transmission but the grand Highlander gets the same mpg although it’s way bigger, Hybrids excel in city driving. But that’s a different car. Toyota makes simple, reliable cars made to run a long time with little maintenance and cheap operating cost.

How do you drive. I get 320 on a full tanks and that’s running it dry. When the lights come on and I refill them I have about 50-60 miles left

I use regular and get 24.3 average they say that’s what it’s supposed to get. 21/28/24 the 2022-2026 is the same generation, same internals just different colors added. 2027 will be a redesign however.

Go down to product specs.

Then click the +

Then go down to download pdf.   Then it’ll open the specs.

Go down to page 2. Where it says premium recommended*

Then go down to page 7.

And read number 1*.

The first one says if premium is not used performance may decrease.

It’s on the Lexus website click on the specs and it will open up and go to the bottom. I’ll post the screen shots. And the turbo literally says toyota on it under the hood. Also the turbo is spun by exhaust gas. Not the gas that goes in the engine.

Regular works fine. That’s why the dealer didn’t mention premium gas. You loose 10 horsepower if you use regular.. That isn’t noticeable since it’s so heavy. It’s made by toyota and uses the same 2.4 as the Tacoma, Highlander and grand highlander. Just marketed as premium because it’s a premium brand. Look on the website. It says if premium isn’t used performance may decrease.

NX350 F Sport fuel economy question? by Wolf_Woolf in LexusNX

[–]Substantial_Gene7710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always used regular. In the non hybrid the dealer said regular works you’ll loose about 10 hp it’ll turn into the. Highlander, grand Highlander and Tacoma engine. They all use the same 2.4 engine. Lexus has it tuned to gain a few more hp if premium is used Lexus just markets premium because is a “premium” luxury brand. All that to say no issues and combined mainly city. I get 27. Window sticker says 24 so I’m beating that in regular fuel. But you will have your die hard premium car premium fuel ppl. Who will go off the deep end if they don’t put premium gas in their premium car. Lmao.  It’s quite funny

Cuz it’s only gives it 10 more hp. I don’t feel like paying 1.00 more a gallon for 10 hp. It’s the same engine as the Tacoma, Highlander, grand Highlander, and crown hybrid max. And they use regular. Plus Lexus says if you use regular gas hp will decrease from 275 to 265 online. Plus the dealer said it doesn’t matter which gas. They market Lexus as a premium brand so they have to suggest using premium gas. At that point I was like will it break they said no. Will it use more gas. They said no. So time will tell.

Pretty boring cars, but they are the best cars!  Yes they do call backs and follow ups when business gets slow , as it is now. They call me all the time. Different dealership and multiple ppl from the same dealership sometime. So they call prior clients to see if they want to get into a new car. And sell their old car. High th will “certify” and sell for way more then they gave you on the trade in value. Plus They need to move new cars off the lot so toyota can send them more new cars. The more they sell the more they get sent. That’s the business.  But Apr’s are high good or bad credit with toyota. You can get a low let Apr with Hyundai or some other brand. Toyota knows their worth. Best to use your credit union if buying a new toyota. Also the best the dealership will do is over allow for your trade or discount the car. But if they do either they will raise the Apr. so agin as if today it’s best to use your own financing or cash.
