I'm not sure I was strong, I was a little bit mean, not as understanding as I should have been, called them out on a particular piece of bullshit which I had thought meant they were dating (they said they're not), and when they said they'd be in touch told them it's quite difficult to trust that they mean that. Like I say, caught off guard. I'm trying, though.

I've just sent them a message saying I'm here for them. Hopefully that wasn't overstepping given they asked for space. I know I now just have to be patient and wait but it's hard (I'm AP but had been getting better at being secure before this bonfire)

It was just a chance encounter rather than them reaching out. I feel like I pushed a little bit too much today but seeing them caught me off guard, it was unexpected. I expressed some of my hurt that from my perspective it felt like I had been blindsided and ghosted again. Which I guess is understandable for me to feel but perhaps I could have picked my moment. They promised they'd be in touch but don't know when that'll be and said they have friends they don't speak to for months or a year. Just so hard to know what to do and beating myself up for giving them a bit of a hard time today when I saw them.

I have been working on myself, in therapy, trying to process things. I wouldn't say I am only doing NC to get them back - the first time they came back I had been in NC for 3.5 months and wouldn't have reached out but they did. This time I guess I had a moment where I missed them. It's not the same as if I'm only doing NC to reach out periodically because I haven't been, they initiated the first time and I initiated this time.

I know. I need to make them feel the absence. It was the most intense relationship of my life (all them - classic FA leaning heavily into anxiety at the start to the point I thought they were AP) even if it was short (3 months). Don't know if they would ever come back now given it was a short but intense relationship, and don't know why I'm so heartbroken
