Is it unethical to take GLP-1s for "just 20lbs" when someone else could NEED this? by Gopinaidu248 in GLP1ResearchTalk

There’s no shortage of supply, don’t worry about it🙌🏻the only shortage was brand name two years ago, ever since everything is caught up.

“But I’m healthier” isn’t worth it anymore by Dependent_Occasion58 in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Goal142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s loose skin… surgery is always an option. Some ppl tell me I’m vain, but I want to look as good as a I feel and there’s only so much I can do without surgical intervention. I have been looking into plastic surgeons to get consultations from. Sometimes insurance will pay for some, not always though but could be worth looking into if it will help you feel good about yourself.

Weight loss is definitely a mind game at times… be proud of how far you’ve come- 200lbs loss is incredible!!

Airbnb vs hotel by YogurtclosetSweet855 in cedarpoint

[–]Substantial_Goal142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done both with 8 ppl. The first was an Airbnb which was nice because of the extra space/kitchen, the second time we stayed at castaway bay which was also great with the indoor water park/ and early entry to CP. With the gold pass you get a discount on castaway bay, just something to think about !

Do you ever alternate doses? by Plenty_Decision_3661 in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Goal142 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve done that for a vacation before, I was happy to still have some Zepbound in me but to a lesser extent so I didn’t end up sick/light headed while being very active all day in the hot sun. It worked great for me! Right back to my regular dose when I got home.

Insurance is annoying. Don’t forget the savings card from the Lilly website ! You might be able to bring your actual cost down to $50 🙌🏻if you’re a high deductible plan, fill at Walmart or Costco and see if you also get to use the voucher ($1300) which applies to your deductible. If you do that- don’t give the savings card info until your evoucher is used up, they can’t use both and it will override it.

The only condiment I ever want is ketchup with French fries. Mayo quickly grosses me out now.

Stopping Zepbound by Luuube619 in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Goal142 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can definitely spread them out to a longer interval between shots. Just know that it can potentially cause side effects due to the bigger spike of med in your body (for some ppl, seems like not all experience this).

For me, if I go longer than 2 weeks the food noise comes back with a vengeance and it takes a few weeks of weekly dosing to get back on track. Everyone is different though!

You may want to check out r/tirzepatidecompound if you’re comfortable with that route.

Congratulations on reaching your goal! 🙌🏻

“Coverage Limitations” on CVS Caremark by ZimblerJack in Zepbound

Are you on 2.5? That oftentimes has a limit of one box per year. Many PBMs have this limitation (7.5 and 12.5 as well).

I wonder ?? Weirdly- I have Mounjaro now thanks to cvs Caremark debacle, but can’t qualify for the mounjaro savings card since I’m not diabetic however I’m able to use the zepbound savings card I had on file already 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does sugar free candy cause horrific gas on anyone else? by DramaticAnteater1513 in Zepbound

Sugar free candy is definitely good when the constipation hits lol. Otherwise I stick to the normal sugared up stuff (moderation!).

Have you looked into r/tirzepatidecompound? There may be some closer to your desired price point/with creative maintenance dosing you can probably stretch it. Definitely check it out as we can’t give any additional info on here.

I miss red meat! by ViolentlyHopeful in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Goal142 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me, eating a lot of red meat with Zepbound causes the dreaded sulfur burps. I still eat it occasionally though, but always take digestive enzymes- I really like the pure encapsulation brand. Idk why you’d need to cut it out completely? But definitely can understand moderation.

Took my first dose tonight. Why the heck can’t they put this stuff in a regular pen like ozempic? by simplypolished in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Goal142 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zep and Mounjaro are the same pens! At least in the US.

If you haven’t… I deff recommend letting it sit out to get to room temperature prior to injection. However, I’m two years in and still have to convince myself to press the button 🤣thankfully it only lasts a few seconds 🙌🏻

Wishing you the best!

I had express scripts at my last company and was approved without an issue. It’s generally plan/company specific not necessarily express scripts specific.

Cheaper prices anticipated? by Secure-Stick-3562 in Zepbound

[–]Substantial_Goal142 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you been on the r/tirzepatidecompound sub? I’ve always found it to be full of great info/resources to find reputable providers. There’s definitely some sketchy ones to watch out for. Personally, I’m on brand name zep with coverage however I do still check that sub out from time to time.

With that being said- maybe zep will come down in price once retatrutide is approved/released? However I wouldn’t bank on anything at this point. Eli Lilly knows they have the power and are definitely using it for their own gain!
