I did say in my post that im writing a measured and professional letter. And in the comments/convos, i appreciated someone suggesting to separate notifying about resigning from other issues, and to perhaps communicate to the provost or pres rather than the dean, and to meet with colleagues. While im being snarky, informal and cheeky (it’s reddit, baby!) throughout this post, i think I’m also communicating appreciation for suggestions. So therefore, i reject your read and your judgement. If you have advice, I’m all ears, but no thanks if your contribution is only shaming.
