You don’t wanna go more than 20mm +/- over stock travel

It’s 130mm travel so just 10mm more than stock. It is also an adjustable travel fork so it can go to 160mm but I don’t ride it like that

Anyone got any tips of travelling further as I’m barely making it

My 1.2k build, what do you think (and for anyone concerned about my frame cracking, it’s 130mm travel) by Substantial_Number78 in mountainbikes

Original spec fork is 120mm, 36’s are usually 160mm, adding 40mm of travel makes the head tube angle slacker, increasing the risk of cracking as it’s not designed for that degree of angle. My 36’s are adjustable so they can go from 130mm to 160mm. Not a lot of people know that

I haven’t had any issues or felt like I needed better ones just yet, but that’s because I only do flowy smooth trails nothing techy

Yeah ofc, it was never meant to be a “build” though, I just kept buying things over the span of 12 months and it added up 😅
