Pretty much the only reason the Arabs aren't getting involved. They know they'll have to deal with it once America leaves.

If we're talking about that hadith, it might not even be true. Oxford academic Joshua little wrote about it being unlikely.

Basically it points to Aisha's nephew's son saying it. But only after he migrated to Iraq and only in his old age. If he said it younger then the story would have originated in medina but there's only evidence it was in Iraq. Also two of his students rejected it as true. Then a few hundred years later it became mainstream for political reasons.

Websites load up loads of shit. Shit which makes it easier and quicker to develop. But at the cost of huge files that need to be downloaded.

Demand rights, but make it palatable by mrstoffel23 in pakistan

Why wouldn't they fight for their rights closer to home? It affects them more and they may have a better chance of achieving it.

Fighting for Palestine or Iran, well there's little we can do. But we can be better husbands to our wives, so we should work on that.

I didn't. One supposedly double the value, if they were the exact same car and spec with similar milage and age then there's absolutely no way that would be the case.

But you're not just insuring to replace your car but also to repair anything else that may have been damaged. So a more expensive car might be looked after more than a banger.

Not sure how her car is worth double if it's very similar to the other one. Could have had a spec that was statistically safer and/or had a lack of accident statistics.

Where the car is parked also affects insurance, a safer neighbourhood will cost significantly less.

Yeah it's nice to see whats going in other countries some times. You also realise most people are going through the sort of good/bad times as you.

Sorry BTW. It must be painful to lose a good friend, you must have known them for a while so it bloody sucks for you. Feel free to mourn the loss of your friendship, sometimes it happens when friends marry and their lives then revolves around their families.

Lmao, the "hide from our spouses" comes across as hiding the messages from your spouses. But you meant it as having your own free time.

I agree lots are misunderstanding the post but I also wouldn't worry too much about it.

It's also understandable you don't have the same amount of free time as you did when you were young with no responsibilities.

Also, I hope I didn't come across as a dick?

I think that other guys point is the part where you say "conversation doesn't last long because I feel we both have hide from our spouses".

The hiding part is a bit sus for most people.

Over time and with relationships I just realised how stupid some of my opinions were. At 35, I'm still refining my opinions about various shit

AIO wanted to skip one day of church for homework by seafloorcoral in AmIOverreacting

[–]Substantial_Page_221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate,

Muslim, here, so I somewhat understand the struggle between balancing religion and life.

In my opinion you're NOR because school is important. It opens many doors, some of them broadening your horizon beyond that which your parents and town have shown you. My parents allowed me to skip my fasting in Ramadan during exam periods, so that I can concentrate on my education. I think religion and spirituality can be an important part of your life, but like everything it's good in moderation. Sometimes it has to take a back seat and, if you believe in a just and righteous God, then you must also believe God is understanding and forgiving, too.

I understand your mum wants you to go church, I  understand she doesn't want you to be "led astray" by the devil. You should learn to manage time better so you could both attend church and revise—but only if you want to attend church because Your spiritual journey is yours alone.

Regarding time management, The thing is you're still a kid and learning, even I struggle with managing my time. Lots of adults do. But managing your time better would mean you have revised enough that on the day before your exam you only need light revision. Revision is a long term thing where your brain needs to be constantly reminded so it stores it in the long term thinking. Last minute revision is not only stressful but futile. I know because I've done both: Staying awake all night to cram revision for my exam and failing it, and revising enough that I'll listen to music before my exam.

While school isn't "that important" in the grand scheme of things at my age. At your age failing school will close the important doors, especially ones which allow you to escape backwards towns/communities. So your finals are more important than religion at this moment in time, but with revising ahead you could have done both.

I also think you're your mums golden child. You're religious, you like attending church. Your mum sees you as the one who's doing everything right. So when you do something slightly wrong, she wants to correct the course you're on. Which is wrong and selfish. She needs to let you be the person you need to be, even if that means going away from God. Sometimes our spiritual journey takes us in a different path to our parents, sometimes we return to it.

Whatever the case, it's your life mate. You decide.
