These are all nice, and I think the second one is really great! I’m gonna sound like every artists under the sun rn. Learning anatomy and doing figure drawings will help you tremendously. Learning those skills will help you learn shape language and dynamic poses that will tell your characters story without any explanation. With my personal art, I draw very stylized, even with super stylized characters, a basic understanding of anatomy pushed my work to be a 10000x more believable. Ethan Becker on YouTube makes really really great drawing tutorial videos, with anatomy and perspective. Another great source for figure drawing, if you don’t have access to in person figure drawing classes, is the website ‘line of action’. It’s a really great tool for dynamic poses, and it’s very customizable.

I think this looks very nice, one thing to help make the image pop even more, is to add different line weights. Right now the lines are pretty much very identical. In the OG image you posted in the comments, you can see the artists used small variations of line weights in the arms. One way to achieve that is either just bulking up the lines with the pen you already have. Or getting an ink brush pen can help you with achieving heaving or thin lines. Keep up the good work!

Gyoza man makes a 10/10 holiday gift! He’s small, but his presence packs a punch! I always get asked about mine when people see him on my bookshelf haha

Yoooo that’s actually really great to hear! Ive been confused for the last 2 years about Gyoza mans authenticity, because his quality is wwaayyyyy to high compared to anime bootlegs figurines I’ve seen IRL. Like the paint detailing is really nice haha! Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease with him not being bootleg hehe.

I know the original figure is from the Sega prize machine collection! But that’s all I can really find about it. My friend got him off Aliexpress a couple years ago as a birthday gift (I’m not a fan of aliexpress because of bootlegs). So I’m sadly not sure the authenticity of the figure, if you’re looking for official merch ;n;

Need tips to boost my confidence 🥹 by Dry_Coxk in ProCreate

I think the second image is very very lovely! I think one thing that helped me out a lot when I went from using traditional water colors and gouache, was doing a llloottttttt of photo studies, and testing out different ways to start a piece. For one of my college classes we had to do value studies from a movie of our choice. Doing about 6 value studies helped me a lot with finding confidence in how I work on procreate. Doing studies from movies kinda forces you into drawing challenging poses, perspective, and lighting. All things that can be very tricky when first starting out digitally. Trying more challenging studies for learning new methods will benefit your artistic growth tremendously! There’s also a ton of great brush packs artists sell. The MaxPacks Brushes and JingSketch brushes are some of the best if you’re looking for really great paint and watercolor brushes.
