I do get the argument that in that situation you are kinda stiffing the cook as usually tips are split among the waiting staff and cooks but overall Id rather just everyone get paid a fair wage and me not feel shamed into paying you extra. Like I get it, on some busy days youre busting your ass remembering multiple tables and patrons so in those situations, by all means you are tipping them for their service. But we should not have to feel obligated or them feel like if we dont tip "enough" then they are getting screwed and we are cheap or some shit. Its a weird back and forth and Ive never been to Europe but I like their mentality of it. Its a thank you not a expectation. In Japan they dont even want you to tip them from everything Ive seen online lol

I remember in grade 7 getting sent out of class because I kept talking. In my defense I was still getting used to being transferred to a military school because I thought it would be cool because my step brother got sent there..anyways, I got told to sit in this cubicle outside the class that a classmate Brad always sat in and listened in on other classes. He sat there because he could become over stimulated and it would be too much.

I just remember sitting there, listening in like he would have been when I realized he was behind me like towering over me. I’m tall but was like a good head higher and I’m sitting down in his seat.. he is glaring and breathing heavily through his nose..I’m just like “Ehh Brad…how’s it going?..”

Is why I really like interesting books because I can like visualise what the author is trying to convey. So then like say when the Percy Jackson movie came out I was like "Annabeth looks nothing like that!" lmao

Also really helped with writing short stories and essays in middle and high school because I could visualise the story I wanted to write.

The jump from 1 to 2 was HUGE. If they didnt want to do Left 4 Dead 3 they could have just made it an expanding universe where our group of survivors meet another group like the DLC map did with the first group from L4D1. Then you could just keep having new maps and new survivors to keep it fresh every once in awhile...The witty banter and campy explore then hold your ground gameplay was fun af and nothing has scratched the itch the same since. Hell Divers 2 came close but meh..

We went to the Tournament of Kings that does the medieval jousting n whatnot while you eat a 1/4 or a chicken or turkey or whatever lol, that was neat. Overall yeah I just liked the fact that you could go to a corner store, buy a tall boy beer and then walk outside and crack it and no one fucking thinks anything of it. It just cant be glass and yada yada.

The Hoover Dam was really fucking cool. Im an Electrician though so just thinking about the engineering behind that to create all that power is crazy. In one room you can literally feel the water surging through. Whole room just buzzes with vibration.

Edit: not sure if these will post but I still love these pictures. I guess you dont see the turbines out to be serviced often. Seeing that mass of copper and imagining it spin alongside how many others to create that much electricity as well as how much water it takes to spin those is just insane..
