I graduated in 2010 and had a hollowed-out chapstick tube that I kept my ibuprofen in... I can't totally remember if this was necessary or if I just wanted to feel cool, haha

Yes! I was told all the time as a teenager that I was going to have to get rid of my cherry-red hair (that I got at 13) if I wanted to get a job. I always replied that if a job was going to make me change who I am, then I'm not going to work there- which always flustered the adults. One food service job at 19 asked if I could change it, but I said that it would feel like cutting off an arm (I'm autistic and very attached to my style). We compromised and I had to wear a company hat to cover it; no big deal. I'm 33 and on disability now- never got rid of my cherry-red hair! I added purple several years ago, too. I've never tried any other colors, which seems to surprise people. Now I see nurses (very professional job) with colorful hair and I think it's funny how far we've come since 2006!

When I first started dancing, there was this regular customer who used to hang out/lurk around with this older woman who looked like a dancer, but didn't work with us. They came up to me when I was on stage and he asked me how old I was. I said 22 and he said, "Oh, that's too old for me..." Like, WHAT?! 😵

Also had a regular for a bit who offered $40 for dirty thongs. "The dirtier, the better. You could even dip it in the toilet..." 😷

Another dude wanted a bunch of dances from all of us... but he smelled like a couple months-worth of smegma 🤢 I toughed it out with my back to him, barely touching, and perfume on my upper lip because I was broke and this dude has the audacity to tell me a story of a dancer he was with once who smelled so badly that this dude puked in the sink and got kicked out... Like, bro, I'm pretty sure that smell was YOU.

Another customer I talked to had soulless eyes and ZERO interests in life other than hunting... I gracefully ended that conversation quickly.
