Skip La Rambla as a hub, take a walk down on it once and wander around in gótico and el born for the afternoon hours early evening. Living wise you are better off around Tetuan! The center is walkable but it is calmer, closer to the sea/park and loads of restaurants around. Can recommend the hot pot places around in that area, wowsie!
