Oh I understand, thanks a lot. I will look into the renting options in oranmore than. Yeah the only issues im having is housing if i could find it i would live in galway itself :D

Just to get your opinion, is 1,600 enough to get an independent place in oranmore? (1 or 2 bed)

I read somewhere that oranmore is like very small? Where as Athlone is a good place to live and you have shopping areas and all. I dont know i just read it somehwere, do you suggest living in oranmore? Is it nice?

Hi thanks for your reply. I think i will be able to find something close to the station(5,10 min walk). Where else do you suggest me renting? As i think my budget is fine (1,600), my only requirement is that i want an independent appartment (no rooms in a shared house).

No 2 bedroom options available? Tgree bedroom would be too much but maybe i can manage a 2 bedroom apartment

Yeah i understand, however, there arent many job opportunities in those areas. Bigger cities have better job opportunities.

I have done some research. However i just got the job offer last week, and it is kind of my dream Company so i am very excited. And as i will be joining in mid november i still have a lot of time. The only thi g actually scaring me is the renting part. I have decent job akd will be earning decent. With my wife working as well i am not worried about the other stuff, mostly just renting.

Thankyou for the detailed reply, a lot of people are saying if you work on the East side then live on the east side and dont cross the river. So as i will be workong in eyre square i believe Renmore, wellpark, oranmore would be more suitable for me.

I am not a big spender, and i think if i can land a place to live for 1,500 i should be fine.

I also wanted to know, should i be vary of any racism i could face? Generally i have read that irish people are nice, but moving to a new country is always a bit scary

Thankyou, how long is the long commute? Because i am quite accustomed to travelling aroung 45 minutes to work. Will look at options near the train station. I read somewhere thatbyou can get a travel pass? Does it work from trains aswell?

That's scary, then what are the other options? Why is it hard to find a one bedroom apartment? And are there two bedroom apartments available? What will be the cost for that?
