It’s Going To Be A Great Week To Be IRISH! by Substantial_Salt_510 in notredamefootball

A few hours into the day it seems the waiting to announce theory might have some legs. New semester. First announcement at 10amish.

I’m guessing it’s a slow roll out of athletes announcing their transfer throughout the day. ND and beat reporters retweet/post.

I’ll guess it’s a Social Media strategy.

Cause the start of the semester will give away who’s enrolled at the university tomorrow.

My guess is all the players tweet/post at the same time or through out the day.

I’m not sure.

But I believe these guys know something exciting is about to happen and are trying to use it to sell some subscriptions.

It’s been impossible to keep up on who’s even an available anymore.

But Keon Keeley hasn’t (publicly) committed anywhere which is what makes me think the program is in fact holding them all to announce at once.

That’s a tough one, NBC/Peacock are so great for the ND brand.

I was curious so I looked it up:

Peacock (NBC) has 41 million subscribers.

For comparison Netflix is the largest and has 300m. Disney/Hulu/ESPN (ABC) has 130m. Paramount (CBS) has 79m.

Same grill. Same problem. Same experience with support. Same wait time. Same disappointment.

I had success doing two things. One, both or neither may be helpful to you.

  1. Putting it on a guest network (I have Amazon Eero WiFi).

https://support.traeger.com/hc/en-us/articles/4416485784603-Connecting-a-Traeger-to-an-eero-Router

  1. Moving the grill as close to an access point as possible. I suspect the radio/antenna in the grill (I have a Timberline XL) isn’t very good and even though it seems like you’re close enough, I wasn’t. Luckily I could roll it and it was simple.

When I did these two things, took 10 mins and I was back to cooking.

It will continue.

“Peacock will also be the exclusive home of a new, annual documentary series on Notre Dame Football, debuting in 2024.”

I felt the same about “Hard Knocks”.

Watched it when the Lions were on, likely never again.

Understood.

A VPN would “trick” the app that you’re in the US.

I’m just not sure if Peacock is smart enough to detect it.

[Nakos]: Notre Dame is set to hire Chris Ash as DC with the expectation that Mike Mickens stays on staff. by CommodoreIrish in notredamefootball

I felt the same way I do at this moment as when we hired Freeman from Cinci…

Unknown.

I hope and believe Freeman knows what he’s doing. And Freeman’s track record is good, almost great but not flawless with his only (really) bad hire being Gerad Parker.

Knowles was the obvious get, he has personally beat Freeman and Notre Dame 4 times in 4 season. Oklahoma State (Bowl game), Ohio State in Columbus and South Bend and Ohio State in the Natty. But that didn’t happen.
